Alright, I'll keep this rather informal.
Number 1 rule, admins always have the final say (within reason).
That's the big one, other than that. Just play nice (well, out of character
), respect others, don't try to be the hero that goes rambo killing everyone.
As for posting, please keep your posts over 7 sentences at the least. If you start posting little 2 or 3 liners, it may very well get your character killed. Same goes for grammar and spelling, we don't need anybody trying to be 1337. There is a spell check to check your posts, or you can just use Microsoft Word or something.
Be sure to put this at the top of each new thread:
Date (May 23, 1924)
Time (0900 hours)
Location (Industrial District, London)
Weather (67 Degrees F, Partially Cloudy)
Another thing, if you are in a RP with multiple people, you must wait until either 2 people have posted, or 8 hours before you may post again.
And looting, yes. It's the apocalypse, and you'll have to loot corpses and buildings to live through it. My only rules on this subject is just clear whatever you want to loot with an admin first, unless it is something small (ex, any amount of money under $5.00, some cigerattes, a few rounds of ammo, some canned food, etc). Clear it with us first, chances are we'll let you have it (unless it's ridiculous). And, don't go posting 20 RP posts of you just looting $5 from body after body.
Characters, really just one rule, keep it real. We don't need the Hulk, or some kind of ninja going through the streets of London, killing every zed they see. Just keep it real. Although, yes this is a bit harder with the timeframe being back in the 1920's, you may have to do a little research, oh noes.
Other than that, just make sure to read through all the threads in the Registration Department part of the forum before posting your character's bio. Some guidelines on that:
-You must pick a Classification and Sub-Class.
-You can only use weapons designated for this Sub-Class (ex, if you are an American Civilian, you can only pick American weapons to start with) however, you can buy weaponry from other countries after your character is approved and you've made at least one well written RP post.
-Be sure to fill out the sheet fully, that means writing a good personality profile, personal history, etc.
-Keep in lines with what your character's bio says. If you don't have the Firearms skill, then your character can't go around pulling off a head shot with every bullet.
Anyway, that should cover it. Just use common sense and if the admins say you did something wrong, just do what they say. They are admins for a purpose.
